Jillian LeBlanc is a Digital Engagement Advisor for the Government of Canada. Jillian comes from the not for profit sector where she just spent that last two years as the the national Youth Engagement and Social Media coordinator for Equal Voice Canada and was one of the leads for the Daughters of the Vote initiative in March of this year. In the past Jillian has worked for the Center for International Policy Studies, in the Bilingualism and Diversity wing of Shared Services Canada, as a media representative for Vote Party Canada and as a Constituency Assistant for her Member of Parliament. She has also managed the social media for I Vote-Je Vote a youth engagement organization out of the University of Ottawa which has hosted policy discussions in the lead up to the 2015 election. She has been a Samara Everyday Political Citizen nominee in 2015 and 2016 and is a Apathy is Boring 150 youth representative for Ottawa. Jillian is passionate about youth engagement in political spaces and believes our democracy can only truly work for us when everyone is represented.
