Lenny Carpenter is a journalist and filmmaker from the James Bay community of Moosonee. A member of Attawapiskat First Nation, Lenny served as a reporter, editor and publisher for Wawatay News, a First Nations newspaper covering communities across northern Ontario. Lenny is a program manager with Journalists for Human Rights, overseeing the Indigenous Reporters Program which aims to increase the quality and quantity of Indigenous voices and stories in Canadian media.
